19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Mahogany Bookcase is a stunning representation of the style, with its very tailored architecture that draws attention to the luxurious and exotic imported mahogany from which it was made.  The artisans used "bookmatching" techniques to create a pattern across the bonnet and apron, and more subtly to create the appearance that the doors are mirror images of each other.  Set on turned bun feet, the majority of the facade is devoted to the glazing of the cabinet doors, allowing maximum viewing capability of your prized books, family memorabilia or collection.  Three original shelves are completely adjustable to create precisely the configuration you require, and to change it at your whim.  The interior floor brings the surfaces to four.  A little trim work overlaid at the top of the glazing adds interesting visual appeal.
