19th Century French Louis Philippe Rosewood Bookcase is the perfect choice for those with a special collection, prized family heirlooms, or even as a bookcase!  Rosewood, sometimes called Kingwood, was considered the finest furniture wood extant, and available only to the most prestigious furniture houses during the period due to its extraordinary expense, being harvested in the Americas and brought back to Europe via arduous sea voyages.  This example, traditionally for the style eschewing carved detail, features a bold chapeau de gendarme cornice and tailored lines allowing it to work with a huge variety of styles and tastes.
