19th Century French Louis XVI Neoclassical Walnut Bookcase is a masterpiece of French cabinetry and wood sculpting, rendered entirely from sumptuous French walnut and hand-beveled glass!  Starting with the sculpted floral wreath with floral & foliate sprays adorning the subtly arched crown, the eye is lead to the relief carvings of floral garlands on the bonnet just below, flanked by rectangular rosettes on the corners.  The rosettes are topped with turned urn finials, and rest atop full length tapered, fluted, spiral fluted, and carved columns that serve as the cornerposts.  The facade is divided into three sections, with a brace of pilasters framing the center, largest door.  Carved floral sprays and upturned corbels with foliates adorn the pilasters.  The three doors are fitted with 3/4 length beveled glass to allow ample visual display of your prized heirlooms, collection or memorabilia housed inside.  Adjustable shelves make displaying very versatile.  The carved panels at the bottom of each door are the most remarkable.  The side panels depict heraldic crests with urn and foliate embellishment, while the center panel is a work of art depicting the timeless quiver of arrows symbolizing the power of the French monarchy.  Arrows are crossed with the scabbard and intertwined with ribbon and floral motifs for a stunning effect.  Finely shaped molding detail appears in abundance on all three facades to complete the look.
