19th Century French Walnut Neoclassical Bookcase blends Renaissance-inspired carved decorative motifs with architecture inspired by the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations.  Fashioned from sumptuous French walnut, it features a rectilinear case highlighted by bold molding detail.  The crown sports a raised shell and foliate embellishment flanked by a brace of turned finials.  Below on the bonnet is another larger relief carving that complements the crown.  Below are a pair of doors each fitted with ten glazed panes and molded panels at the bottom.  The doors are treated to gathered sheer fabric which is also easily removed if desired.  When open, the interior reveals four original fully adjustable shelves for a total of five surfaces, with an interior drawer fitted to the bottom of one of the shelves, which can be relocated to your requirements by simply shuffling the shelves around.  The size is very compatible with narrow spaces and cozy interiors, but also makes a great bathroom or bedroom companion!
