19th Century Rustic Louis XIV Painted Bookcase features elegant, tailored lines enhanced by the sky blue and white painted finish.  An exceptionally shallow design, it will fit where most bookcases would encroach upon the floor space.  Multiple adjustable shelves make it very versatile for a wide variety of displays, with multi-paned glazing on each door and more discreet storage behind the lower door panels.  Made in Brussels, it was sold and shipped to a G. M. Baltus "petite vitesse" or what we would call ground delivery today.  Note the vertical plank backing.
