Grand 19th Century French Second Empire Mahogany Bookcase will make an immediate impression on all who enter the room! Hand-crafted by expert artisans during the reign of Napoleon III, it was created from exotic imported mahogany and includes four solid turned mahogany columns across the front, and flame mahogany panels on the four doors. The bold crown with classically-inspired molding detail is centered with a cast bronze mount depicting stylized swans drinking from an urn, surrounded by foliate detail. Cast bronze key guards, as well as capitals and base rings on the columns add visual excitement. Each door is also fitted with generous glass panes to display the contents.
