This pair of Antique French Louis XIV Carved Oak Caned Occasional Chairs presents a regal yet casual look thanks to the elegantly carved oak framework combined with caned seat and seat back.  The caning provides lightweight comfort that "breathes" in the summertime, perfect for warmer regions.  Carved shell and acanthus plumes with intriguing bordering treatment adorn the multiple arches of the seat back crown and surrounding framework, with the same theme repeated on the apron below, with acanthus leaves and scrolls adorning the gracefully contoured legs tipped with escargot feet.  Cane seat on one needs repair; sold AS IS.
