Antique Italian Louis XVI Giltwood Caned Vanity Chair

Antique Italian Louis XVI Giltwood Caned Vanity Chair was designed to provide the perfect seating for a proper lady to tend to her appearance prior to an engagement or simply starting the day!  Inspired by classical design, it features a contoured banded wheat design around the intricate seatback surround which has been caned for light weight and breathable comfort.  The seat itself is adorned with foliate overlay, spiral ribbon and beaded trim, accented above by the acanthus leaf motifs of the seatback mounts, and along the apron with rosettes appearing above the tapered & fluted legs.  Finished in gold which has achieved a lovely patina over the decades, it is ready for a cushion with your coordinating fabric or colors to complete your vanity's ensemble!
