Pair 19th Century French Gothic Side Chairs

Pair 19th Century French Gothic Side Chairs is an amazing find!  Hand-sculpted from dense, old-growth oak, each features wheat grain bordering all around, providing a framework for the geometric forms and decorative motifs inspired by nature that appear on the seatback.  Fleur de lys spires on the corner posts flank the pierced quatrefoil and foliate fleur de lys cetered on the seatback crown.  Amazing geometric designs incorporating quatrefoils appear on each seatback and all together the design indicates how much talent went into the sculpture of this instant family heirloom.
