Pair 19th Century Italian Renaissance Walnut Salon Chairs

Pair 19th Century Italian Renaissance Walnut Salon Chairs are a visual feast designed to both accent an interior and impress one's guests!  Sculpted from solid walnut, each features a heavily carved facade with lions' heads, bounty of the earth expressed in hanging fruit, heraldic crests, eggs symbolizing fertility, and foliates with stylized shell for accents.  An intaglio style flower blossom appears on the top of each seat, framed by a gadrooned edging.  The supports are classic Italian in style, with an urn form both front and back connected with a reinforcing stretcher.  Excellent style accents though the pair may be, each can still be called upon while entertaining for a brief rest, perhaps to await the next dance.  Ideal for the masculine decor.
