Pair Antique French Louis XVI Chairs with Distressed Painted Finish are splendid examples of neoclassical elegance!  Oval contoured seat backs, generous seats and tapered & fluted legs recreate the ancient architecture, with carved spiral ribbon motifs encircling the seatbacks which are caned for lightweight comfort.  The entire apron is surrounded with egg & dart trim, with rosettes on the front plinth blocks over the tapered legs.  The painted finish has achieved a natural state of wear that is indeed charming for a splendid "shabby chic" effect.
