Antique Country French Painted Wrought Iron Chandelier is a delightfully artistic work of the metalsmith's craft!  From the laurels highlighted in gold on the canopy to the acanthus plumes on the complex scrollwork of the arms below (also highlighted in gold), this is a true beauty.  The tailored scrollwork that adorns the central shaft alternates in direction, and the scrolled arms are fitted with piecrust bobeches out of tradition.  Such bobeches would catch melted wax in the old days before electricity.
