Antique French Louis XIV Carved & Painted Wood Chandelier

Antique French Louis XIV Carved & Painted Wood Chandelier features breathtaking artistry sculpted from solid wood and representing the epitome of style and grace that is the essence of the genre!  The acanthus plume crown presides over the central shaft carved to depict fletching, laurel garlands and a tapered & faceted column  Connected to the column are graceful scrollworks adorned with acanthus carvings, with the column affixed to the main body which is carved on facets between the places where the main arms emanate.  An upper tier of four arms with upturned scroll design mates with the lower tier of eight French scrolled arms lavished with acanthus plumes, foliates and fine molded trim up to and even including the bobeches and candle holders shaped like little urns!  The base tapers back down towards the center into a floral-carved base with pendant.  The wood has been given a washed painted finish which softens the appearance yet enhances the carved detail creating a visual masterpiece that also provides ambiance and illumination to your room!
