19th Century French Hand-Painted Teapot from Rouen is a very unusual example of the artistry of the fabled city nestled on the Seine River not far from the English Channel, where potters have plied their trade for centuries, and a unique combination of design and hand-painted coloration have evolved.  This charming example features a handle resembling a cornucopia form with bundles of straw connecting it to the base and serving as the spout.  Most intriguing is the lid, set at an angle as would a lady's chapeau.  Very stylish, indeed!
