19th Century Hand-Painted Imari Platter is a beautiful combination of coloration derived from copper and cobalt!  The pie crust edge and fine border encircle the elaborate flora and fauna design around the entire circumference, with a fanciful center scene of eggs, serpents and a tiger.  Even the back side of the platter has been hand-painted such that when the dish is brought to the table, it can be appreciated from all sides.  Created for the export trade, such heirloom quality pieces can be enjoyed for many generations.
