Set of Three 19th Century Hand-Painted Plates were painted by Menot, and depict scenes around the quaint hamlet of Huy on the outskirts of Liege.  One shows the State School, another a waterside scene of the church and surrounding structures, and the third a roadside shrine on the road into the village which is a common sight in Western Europe.  Menot has used a broad palette to bring the quaint scenes to life, and framed each scene with a luxurious gold rim upon which colorful floral sprays have been painted.
Circa 1890s
Each measures 10 in diameter; sold as a set of three.
