19th Century French Gothic Revival Hall Tree ~ Coat Rack is a marvel of style and flair, executed in quarter sawn oak and exquisitely wrought iron for a lasting keepsake your family will enjoy for generations to come!  The tailored, rectilinear architecture of the piece is visually enhanced with the intricate carved detail in the form of molding designs with foliate embellishments of a distinctive Gothic style.  Ten such panels with one additional horizontally oriented one above the lift-up glove cabinet comprise the upper tier, fitted with a full width shelf supported by exquisitely carved corbels.  Under the shelf appear the four finely wrought iron hat and coat rack mounts.  Just below to the right and left of the glove cabinet are twisted rod umbrella ~ cane holders below which are situated drip pans with the original removable pans.  The four panels behind where the umbrellas and canes would be parked are of the linenfold style to add a little more intrigue to the design.  All in all an impressive way to greet family and friends into your home, one that serves a wonderfully useful purpose while doing it in timeless style!
