19th Century French Louis XIV Painted Marble Top Console is an ideal choice for making a visual statement with subtle style and grace! Hand-crafted from old-growth oak, it features a curvaceous frame inspired by the Baroque movement, with the apron pierce-carved through on all three sides leaving motifs of stylized foliates, shell and florals. The apron is bowed in front, and serpentine on the sides for a flowing look, accented by the double-scrolled cabriole legs which are also lavished with fine sculpting details, and are connected with a carved stretcher with wreath below. The entire woodwork has also been given a Ceruse-painted finish for a subtle taupe coloration that blends superbly with the grays and intricate colors of the contoured and beveled original marble top.
