19th Century French Louis XVI Giltwood Console with Carrara Marble is an exceptional example of the style, exuding classic and timeless flair with aplomb!  The shallow depth and rounded corners of the design make it exceedingly traffic friendly, ideal for entryways, hallways, stairwell landings, or other applications that require a minimal footprint on the floor plan.  The opulence of the carved embellishment made even more apparent by the gold finish combine to make a captivating visual effect.  Embellishments include a variation of egg & dart molding, beaded molding, rosettes, an heraldic crest, laurel sprays and floral garlands suspended below the apron.  The tapered and fluted legs are enhanced with laurels at the top and rosettes at the bottom, where a bowed stretcher adds a third leg for extra stability, along with a finial designed as an urn with handles.  Greek coin motif adorns the top of the stretcher is a lavish accent.  The top consists of luxurious cove beveled Carrara marble for the final finishing touch!
