19th Century French Mahogany Marble Top Console with Bronze is a sublime way to welcome guests into your home, or to adorn a hallway or niche in style!  Somewhat uncommon is the four legged design making this piece self-supporting, unlike consoles that must be mounted to the wall.  That feature makes it a good choice as a sofa table as well!  Each leg is a solid piece of tapered and fluted mahogany, fitted with bronze wheat mounts in the grooves just above the stretcher.  The lyre-like stretcher connects all four legs in style for sturdiness and features a bronze rosette at its center, with each leg being tipped with bronze lotus blossom feet.  Bronze rings top the legs just under the body of the console, which was designed with a scrolled side and step-front center section that houses a drawer.  Beading and molding detail are in brass, enhancing the bronze lotus rosettes and ring pulls.  Reverse ogee molding leads up to the meticulously contoured and beveled Carrara marble top providing the ultimate in carefree elegance as a finishing touch!
