19th Century French Regence Console is a master work of grace and elegance, yet rendered in old-growth oak to make it less formal and fussy.  Exquisitely contoured apron includes a serpentine form on the side, and a bowfront facade, all contoured, molded, cross-hatched, and in the very front and center, carved with a beautiful stylized shell centerpiece.  The top follows the complex contours of the framework below, and is double-beveled for a feat of craftsmanship by itself.  Support is provided by four subtly scrolled cabriole legs with the front legs carved with complementary shell and foliate forms, with all legs terminating in cloven hoof feet.
