Antique Country French Louis XIV Console with Mirror will make the perfect piece to welcome visitors and family into your home! Also a good choice for the end of the hall, a niche, or perhaps a quick dressing table in the master bedroom. Hand-crafted from solid fruitwood, it features a serpentine form on the console which is comlemented by the violin shape of the mirror. The apron of the console has been carved with a Florentine fleur de lys, foliates and cross hatching. Bold acanthus plumes appear on the shoulders of the cabriole legs, which are tipped with cloven hoof feet. The mirror has a tailored appearance until you get to the top, with a gorgeous Florentine fleur de lys to complement the console below, flanked by wildflowers, all carved in full relief. The mirror also boasts its original beveled glass, and is a separate item so can be mounted higher on the wall for more separation, or even at a different location in the room or elsewhere. Very versatile!
