Antique French Directoire Mahogany Console with Carrara Marble Top expresses a tailored elegance that cannot be denied!  Crafted from solid mahogany, it features a shallow design with concave sides making it a very traffic-friendly addition to any room.  The luxurious Carrara marble surface is surrounded by a pierced brass gallery rail to keep things in place, and it sports a pair of drawers accessed with brass bale pulls.  Brass jalouses frame the drawers.  Brass foot tips were also applied to the four tapered legs which incidentally means this piece does not have to be attached to the wall like most consoles, and can even be used behind a sofa or large armchair.  Legs are finely turned and fluted for neoclassic opulence.  A lower display shelf with contoured edges all around completes the look.
