Pair 19th Century French Faux Marble Top Corner Consoles are exceedingly rare to find in a pair, and were hand-crafted then carved to perfection from fine French walnut.  Each features boldly scrolled and carved cabriole legs which are connected to the corner leg with a lower shelf.  The legs feature an acanthus leaf motif just under the apron, and a mirrored frond emanating up from the lower leg below which connects to the lower shelf via a plinth block carved with a rosette.  A tailored apron creates a quarter-circle profile, trimmed with fine molded detail.  The pair is topped with what appears to be finely veined gray marble, but is actually faux painted to create a visual piece de resistance!
