Pair 19th Century French Louis XV Stripped Walnut Hand-Carved Consoles are a testament to the artistic talents of a master furniture crafter!  Utilizing exquisite indigenous walnut, Rococo style motifs were carved into the serpentine sides and subtly bowed front facade of the aprons, with each console supported by a pair of elegant cabriole legs carved with stylized acanthus plumes, an egg form and a single flower, with upturned acanthus plume appearing at the foot below.  The tops are beveled and contoured to follow the apron below, and the sheer natural beauty of the wood with its lovely patina are allowed to shine forth thanks to our proprietary stripping process.  Exceptional choice for almost any decor from formal to casual!
Circa 1890s
