18th Century Country French Louis XVI Secretary is a marvel of classical design and grace!  Rendered by talented rural artisans from indigenous old-growth oak, it features the architecture inspired by the ancient Greeks and Romans, such as the rectilinear form, and stylistic touches like fluted and reeded cornerposts, fluted apron, and exquisite scrolled foliates across the entire facade.  The slant front is the first focal point, with the floral and foliate motifs emanating from an acanthus form at the center, directly under the bronze key guard.  The slant front is flanked by carved pilasters for added visual appeal.  Similar carved motifs appear on the two full-width drawer facades below, also centered with bronze key guards and fitted also with bronze ring pulls.  While the drawers provide ample storage, the slant front opens to reveal a spacious work space perfect for laptops and tablets, plus twelve little drawers and three cubby holes for lots of storage options.
