18th Century French Louis XVI Period Secretary was commissioned on a larger scale than was the norm at the time, providing voluminous storage in three full width drawers, a high working surface when open, and a complex configuration of interior drawers that provides excellent storage opportunities.  Hand-crafted from dense, old growth oak, its finish has been painstakingly stripped using our proprietary methods that retain the patina of the centuries-old wood leaving a soft, natural finish that works with today's decors so admirably.  The sides are tailored with a modicum of molded detail, and the slant front features molding that creates a circular pattern at the center, topped with a brass key guard.  Similar treatment was afforded the drawers below, with the added brass bale pulls for ease of access.  Tapered legs provide support.  Ideal as the 21st Century home office, all in one piece!
