19th Century Country French Desk

19th Century Country French Desk was hand-crafted from solid oak to last for generations!  Solid plank top overlooks four drawers and a generous knee hole that uncharacteristically provides 28" of knee clearance.  Turned wood pulls on the drawers and a tailored scrollwork on the apron complete the "business' side of the desk.  Four turned legs provide support and create visual appeal from all angles, especially considering the front of the desk which features a full width panel with fine molded frameworks surrounding a stylized naturalistic carved centerpiece.  Legs are connected with a sturdy "H" stretcher for sturdy support that also provides a footrest.  Hand-assembled with pegged mortise & tenon joints to last for decades to come.
