19th Century Country French Louis XVI Secretary is a master work of hand-crafted excellence!  Utilizing indigenous old-growth oak, the artisans who crafted this work were inspired by the neoclassic style of the court of Louis XVI.  Wildflowers, foliage and an urn of flowers carved in bas relief across the facade are all framed by hand-carved beaded and spiral ribbon molding.  Draped laurel garlands are pierce-carved across the apron below, with the entire casework supported by tapered legs.  The slant-front top section opens to reveal a spacious work surface and no less than six interior drawers to help keep things organized.  The two exterior drawers below afford copious storage.  Such a design boasts a very traffic-friendly footprint on your floorplan when closed, yet a wonderful work surface suitable for laptops and tablets when it's time to get a little work done.  Note the pegged mortise & tenon joinery and hand-chamfered back panels in the photos.
