19th Century Country French Secretary ~ Commode is a marvelous multi-purpose piece that will add stately Old World elegance but with a casual flair thanks to the tailored lines of the architecture and our proprietary stripping process that retains the natural patina and beauty of the wood.  Boldly molded top is a surface large enough to display, store, place a TV, you name it.  The top "drawer" is actually a drop down desk surface that reveals three cabinet doors inside.  The side doors open to reveal two stationery drawers, while the middle cabinet is actually a bin style drawer.  When the top is closed, the entire piece appears to be a three drawer commode, and indeed the two lower drawers are just that~ with voluminous capacity.  Fine molding trim borders each drawer and encircles finely cast foliate style brass pulls with bales above which appear shield style key guards.  Bold molding along the base mirrors the top, and support is provided by four cornerposts which are embellished with massive lions' paw feet.  What a wonderful addition to your timeless decor!
