19th Century French Louis XVI Double-Sided Whitewashed Desk is the perfect choice for a refined neoclassical decor yet softened with a painted finish that introduces a more casual overall effect.  The generously sized top is beveled all around, and features insets at the center where one finds a drawer on the "business" side of the desk, finely carved in bas relief, and flanked by a pair of fully fluted drawers.  The same adornment has been given the "front" side of the desk to the delight of anyone who enters the room.  The corner posts feature floral rosettes and appear atop the elegantly tapered and fluted legs.  Even the sides are fully fluted to match the aforementioned outboard drawers.  Being double-faced and fully finished on all four sides, it's perfect for placement anywhere in the room one desires, even the very center!
