19th Century French Walnut Barley Twist Writing Desk

19th Century French Walnut Barley Twist Writing Desk displays a restrained classic styling rendered out of solid sumptuous walnut for a rich, warm elegance.  The beautifully grained top is edged by cove and half-bullnose profiles situated atop the apron which houses two simply molded drawers with turned wood pulls.  On each corner of the apron appears curved pyramidal forms over each of four barley twist legs, alternating with clockwise and counter-clockwise spirals.  The legs are connected with an "H" stretcher comprised of the same barley twist design, centered with a turned urn finial.  Finished on all four sides, it's perfect for placement anywhere in the room, including the center!
