Antique English Edwardian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Desk

Antique English Edwardian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Desk is a classic representation of English sophistication of form, executed in exotic imported mahogany!  The two-tiered design includes a supported upper drawer tier with a subtly bowed contour that shapes the inlaid shelf and three drawers, each also inlaid and fitted with brass knobs.  The shelf also sports a tiny guard rail to help keep things in place.  A crossed fence on both sides lends support to the design, which appears over the three panels of the tooled green leather surface below.  The leather surface also mimics the same bowed contour as above, with every horizontal surface edge treated to a fluted motif.  The two larger drawers in the lower section combine to follow the bowed front design, and are both inlaid and fitted with brass ring pulls.  Support is provided by four graceful tapered and fluted legs with a slight flare at the bottom for extra stability and style, connected by bentwood stretchers as a finishing touch.  Ideal as a handy writing table, or for use as a vanity, or even perhaps as an ancillary side desk in the executive's office!
