Antique French Louis XV Walnut Serpentine Desk is a splendid example of the style, rendered in sumptuous walnut and intricately cast brass to create a workspace like none other!  The undulating naturalistic form of the beveled serpentine top follows the contours of the casework below, which houses five convenient and spacious drawers surrounding a kneehole, with elegantly scrolled cabriole legs providing support.  Mirror-image carved panels on each side, and a front with complementary panels with carved embellishment create visual splendor from all angles.  The "business" side of the desk which holds the five drawers is gracefully contoured, with carved floral and foliate motifs appearing on all of the curved drawer faces, each centered with a splendid cast brass key guard for added visual appeal.  Escargot feet complete the look.
