Antique French Neogothic Desk in Stripped Oak is a restrained expression of the Gothic style that dates back to mid-12th century France. Rendered in solid old-growth oak, it has been carved with multiple linenfold panels, and even features six recessed panels in the open area where one's knees are positioned while in use. A Greek coin motif is carved all across the top of each side, with a quatrefoil design cleverly included in the workmanship. Eight legs with small buttress-style corbels provide extra-sturdy support. Three spacious drawers appear on the "business" side, each fitted with carved wood pulls. On the left cabinet, the door opens to reveal four concealed drawers, while the right door opens to present cubby holes and shelves for enhanced storage. The spacious top will serve you very well for decades to come. Finished all around, it is perfect for situating anywhere in the room, including the center for all to appreciate!
