Antique French Oak Desk

Antique French Oak Desk was designed to last for decade after decade, and features double pegged mortise & tenon joinery throughout to ensure just such longevity!  The size of the desk is more compact than typical, making it a great choice for smaller offices or home libraries.  The top consists of solid planks of oak surrounding a writing surface of solid yellow pine.  Underneath, the casework consists of relatively staid sides with the front and back facades identical in appearance with the only exceptions being key guards on the back side, which indicate the presence of two deep drawers and a cabinet on the left with three pull out surfaces to make access more easy, and a right cabinet with a pair of drawers, with the bottom one configured bin style with built-in dividers.  The design on the facades are bordered drawers with rosettes and a foliate carved theme on the scrolled aprons.  The lighter tones of the natural colored finish are ideal for today's more casual decors.
