Set of 6 Antique French 'Os de Mouton' Upholstered Dining Chairs were so-called due to the shape of the legs resembling legs of sheep.  The contours of the leg structures are tailored yet casually elegant in their own right.  The design consists of four scrolled legs connected with two fore-to-aft and two side-to-side scrolled stretchers which provide ample stability.  Seat backs are more than generous with a nice arched crown complementing the seats which are higher than most antique chairs.  Upholstery is recent, and has a few smudges.
