Set of 6 Antique Liegoise Louis XIV Dining Chairs were sculpted by master artisans from dense, old-growth oak, and feature a regal look.  Triple arched seatback crowns are carved with shell, floral, foliate and cross hatching.  The seatback uprights join the crown with an acanthus flourish, leading the eye down past the double-scrolled splats to the original tapestry seats below.  The tapestry has seen better days, but should last until you reupholster in your coordinating fabric.  The seats are supported by a scrolled apron carved with flourishes and wildflowers, all supported by four graceful cabriole legs adorned with acanthus leaf carvings and cloven hoof feet.
Circa early 1900s
Each measures 40H x 20W x 20D; seat 19.5H
