Set of 6 Antique Louis XV Dining Chairs with Needlepoint represent the essence of the timeless French style, with elegantly contoured and scrolled frameworks combined with masterful carved detail and subtly intricate hand-knotted upholstery creating chairs you'll be able to enjoy for a lifetime!  Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth oak, each frame consists of a violin-shaped seatback that is contoured for the human body, and designed with four uprights total, allowing plenty of air flow making them cool in the warmer months of the year.Four elegant cabriole legs provide support, with each sporting escargot feet and the front legs lavishly cared with shell and foliate motifs, designs that are continued across the front apron with cross hatch background, a background that also continues on all the other three sides.  The crown of the seatback is pierce-carved with a shell and foliate design, providing a finger hole making moving the chairs in and out from the table easier.  The subtle earth tones of the foliate design in the upholstery will work with a wide variety of colors and wear very well over the decades.
