Set of 8 Antique French Louis XV Dining Chairs will ensure that you entertain in style and comfort!  Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak, each has been sculpted with graceful, naturalistic forms to create timeless visual appeal  The arched seatbacks are adorned with shell and folaite carvings that cascade down the shoulders overlooking the caned seatbacks, which provide wonderful lightweight comfort.  The seats are upholstered in rose colored mohair and very comfortable.  Support is provided by four cabriole legs, the front two being caved with scrollwork and cascading foliates, with scallop shell trim leading the eye to the centered shell motif framed by acanthus plumes.  The legs are also connected with a brace of lyre-shaped stretchers for stylish support.  Unusual to survive as a full set of eight in this splendid condition, this set is destined to participate in memorable events for years to come, and become an instant family heirloom!
