19th Century Rustic Table ~ Desk in Stripped Oak is a truly timeless design inspired by rural craftsmen who performed wonderful feats of furniture crafting using what are today considered primitive tools.  Those craftsmen did have lots of beautiful seasoned old-growth oak with which to work, and used techniques handed down from generation to generation to produce works that literally last for generations.  The solid plank top resists aging, and is supported by four sturdy posts held together by an "H" stretcher below and an apron above, all joined with mortise & tenons rendered by hand.  The "H" stretcher design allows for maximum foot room, and two drawers fitted with turned wood knobs add a nice touch.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
