Antique Country French Banquet Table in Stripped Oak was literally built to last for centuries!  Utilizing dense, old-growth oak, the craftsmen cut thick timbers to create the top, which consists of a framework that has demilune rounds on each end enabling diners to sit at the ends of the table with ease.  The framework creates four panels on the top surface, which have been fitted with cross-matched planks for a stunning visual effect that is also incredibly durable.  The top is attached to the base with massive dovetail joints visible in the photos.  Because the top is a good two inches thick, a reinforcing apron is unnecessary, leaving 27" of easy knee clearance for your dining comfort!  A total of five massive columns hewed from solid oak timbers provide support, and are interconnected with a thick plank trestle, and resting upon scrolled feet that maximize foot and leg room.  The center column ensures that this table will never sag, even a century from now!  Easily able to accommodate eight to ten guests comfortably!
Circa early 1900s.
