Antique Dutch Trestle Dining Table in Stripped Oak

Antique Dutch Trestle Dining Table in Stripped Oak is of a timeless design, providing a nice surface with legs and aprons all recessed to offer maximum foot and knee room.  The solid plank top is over an inch and a half thick, and is supported by a pair of elaborately scrolled side panels that are 3 inches thick!  The aprons are deeply recessed and provide structural reinforcement along with the trestle that is fully mortised into each side support then shimmed into place.  The stripped finish provides a soft, natural appearance and texture that is so in demand today. The design dates back hundreds of years, and is still a wonderful way to make furniture that lasts for generatios!
