Antique French Louis XIV Draw Leaf Dining Table in Stripped Fruitwood represents a magnificent display of incredible talent in both furniture craftsmanship and wood sculpting!  The sumptuous wood has been stripped and sealed using our proprietary process which reveals the natural beauty of the wood while retaining the patina should one decide to exact a different finish 30 or 40 years from now.  The top is a framed parquet design, with the same parquet repeated on the draw out leaves that are safely nestled under the main top until needed, then quickly drawn out and just as quickly tucked back in as the occasion arises.  The subtle contoured edging of the table top mimics the undulating scroll of the apron all around four sides, lavished with undeniably gorgeous hand-carved detail depicting Florentine fleurs de lys, elegant acanthus leaf fronds and rosettes, all executed in bold relief right into the apron itself.  Shells, florals and foliates are repeated on the apron ends where they join with the massive single-timber cabriole legs, also lavished with complementary carved embellishment, and tipped with bold escargot feet.  A wonderfully elegant way to dine, with a space-efficient design that opens to almost 10 feet for entertaining larger groups!
