Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Dining Table with Glass Topper is an exquisitely preserved table designed to glorify the amazing natural beauty of the exotic imported mahogany from which it was made!  Included with this stunning table is the original thick glass topper with a beaded edge, designed to protect the exquisite grain and beauty of the wood so you and your family can enjoy it for generation after generation!  The stretched oval design means there are no sharp corners on the table, great for young families with boisterous children.  The tailored elegance of the design is truly captivating, with a fully fluted apron all around yet a full 27" of knee clearance, which is superior for antique dining tables, indeed!  The bottom of the apron is trimmed in a spiral rope molding highlighted in gold.  Each of the four legs are affixed via plinth blocks then carved with rosettes, acanthus plumes, laurel wreath rings and upturned lotus blossoms, with the carved detail highlighted in gold.  The tapered and fluted design only adds to the overall elegance.  An excellent choice for seating six in comfort, and occasionally 8 if so needed.
