Antique French Walnut Louis XV Draw Leaf Dining Table is a splendid example of the design, which provides comfortable seating for 6 year round, then when family or friends drop by, two leaves draw out independently to add seating accommodations up to in this case, 10 diners!  The natural beauty of the sumptuous French walnut shines forth, with a parquet top on the main surface as well as each leaf.  All four aprons are carved with floral and foliates and feature a subtle scrolled and bordered design.  Each apron blends seamlessly into the four cabriole legs, also beautifully scrolled and carved to perfection with stylized shell, floral and foliates on the shoulders and escargots on the feet.  An ingenious design, it works for smaller rooms, yet allows one to comfortably seat eight to ten when the need arises, then instantly convert back to the original smaller size to reclaim valuable floor space!
