Antique Grand Country French Partner's Desk ~ Conference Table ~ Dining Table will serve you in multiple roles for a lifetime!  Use as a dining table today, in ten years as a conference table, and ten years after that as a large partner's desk.  Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth quarter-sawn oak, it was designed to last several lifetimes.  The solid plank top is situated on a full wraparound apron, which on the long sides contains two drawers each side, all four of which are fitted with brass knobs.  Support is provided by sturdy turned columns affixed to the apron with large plinth blocks with mortise & tenon joinery.  Below the main turnings on the legs are octagonal plinth blocks where a classic "H" stretcher has been affixed, adding structural strength while being recessed enough to not hinder foot room.  Boldly turned ball feet finish the support structure for a classic overall effect.  This is a piece your family can enjoy for generations!
