Antique Italian Renaissance Draw Leaf Banquet Table was beautifully sculpted from fine quarter-sawn oak to last for decades!  The top features a plank and panel design, with two leaves that tuck under the main top then draw out with ease when needed.  The apron features a tailored molding and panel design with Italian dentil trim on top and turned rosettes as accents.  The most amazing part is the leg structures, with bold double-scrolled legs carved on three sides with Greek coin in relief, with acanthus plumes at the top and bottom ends of the scrolls.  The legs rest on a platform beam carved with lions' paws, and the scrolls bracket a heraldic crest on each end.  The legs are also connected with a gracefully scrolled stretcher carved with the same scroll and Greek coin design as the legs, centered with a bundled foliate motif.  Table is spacious when closed, almost six feet long, but with both leaves drawn extends to almost eleven feet long!
