Antique Liegoise Regence Style Draw Leaf Banquet Table in Stripped Oak is an unusual find, as tables like this are rare that extend to over ten feet when open!  Exquisite hand-carved embellishment adorns each of the four undulating aprons, with acanthus fronds dominating the theme, accented by touches of wildflowers.  The acanthus plumes at the center of each of the aprons is arranged in a fleur de lys pattern.  The shoulders of the gracefully scrolled cabriole legs are carved with foliates and an elongated egg motif, with bell flowers pointing to the upturned acanthus fronds that appear just above the cloven hoof feet.  Leaves tuck under the main table when not needed, resulting in a table just under six feet long, then draw out with ease, one at a time, to provide banquet accommodations.  They just as easily tuck back in to reclaim floor space.  The underside of the leaf is contoured to mirror the beveled edge of the top for a nice fit when open.  Exquisite craftsmanship, just as you would expect from the storied region of Liege!
