Antique Louis XV Grand Draw Leaf Banquet Table is a rare find, indeed!  Just under six feet long when closed, and an unusual 45" depth on each end make it a sizeable table that can easily seat 6 to 8 when closed, depending on your chairs.  However, when both leaves are drawn out, which takes mere seconds, the table is just under eleven feet long, providing ample space for 10 to 12 guests!  Leaves are independent, so one can be drawn out at a time, should you desire to use less space, or turn it into a smorgasbord serving table.  The main top is a luxurious parquet with contoured and grooved frame.  The apron is a stylishly contoured affair on all four sides, with a bold scallop shell carved at the center of the long sides, and a simple scroll at the center of the short sides.  Four stout legs provide support, elegantly carved in the timeless cabriole form, and carved with stylized shell, floral and foliate motifs even on the feet with a variation of escargot design melded with an upturned acanthus frond.  Elegant, beautiful, and versatile ~ what an incredible combination!
